今回の「モノクロームスカイ」は、RYPPHYPEメンバーオンリー！
山木隆一郎とerina.の男女混成ボーカルで、
ギターは高橋圭一、ベースはspam KASUGAI。
この混成ボーカルというのも、RYPPHYPEの基軸の一つ。
また、RYPPHYPEの基本コンセプトである「「懐かしさ」と「新しさ」が融合したフューチャーシンセポップサウンド」が色濃く出てる曲です。

そのRYPPHYPEの、4ヶ月連続配信限定シングルリリースの第二弾「モノクロームスカイ」が、2018年9月26日（水）に全世界配信リリース。「モノクロームスカイ」は、夢を叶える難しさや儚さを、空に架かる虹に例えた楽曲。
無関心、無機質で諦めることが当たり前になっている世の中で、「今はまだ夢を諦める時じゃない」という気持ちを表現している。
メインボーカルは山木が担当。一般的な応援歌の枠にとどまらず、切ない中にも力強さが滲み出る、RYPPHYPEの代表曲となる仕上がりだ。

前身のR.Yamaki Produce Project（RYPP）を改名。RYPPと、英語圏スラングで「ワクワクする 興奮する 盛り上がる」という意味の「HYPE」を組み合わせた造語。

Monochrome Sky sings about dreams that are not easy to make and hard to give up. The song implies the fragile hope as a rainbow over the sky.
It is about that dream that is still alive like fire inside in the society where being not-concerned and not-affected is the norm.
